#SundayFunday: #DCAuthorFestival Update

Hello, fellow spies, ninjas, and regular humans!

Here's an update on the upcoming DC Author Festival. It's on November 5th (a Saturday) from 10 AM to 5 PM at the MLK Library in DC's Chinatown, right by the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop. Or, if you know DC according to food, it's right by Zaytinya, home of my favorite DC Mediterranean dishes.

If you're coming out to say hello, I'm going to be at table D1! You'll be able to get the new Agent Darcy and Ninja Steve bookmarks! Plus, I'm working on some connect-the-dots sheets so that you, too, can bring Agent Darcy and Ninja Steve to life!

Now that you''ll be dying to find me, I can show you the floor plan:

I love that I'm going to be hanging out in a room full of writers and I figured that I'd point out a few other tables that have caught my eye:

-Shout Mouse Press will be my next-door neighbor at C10. I love them already, because their mission statement includes this:

We aim to:

  • Amplify the voices of the marginalized and under-represented by empowering them to write and publish their stories.
  • Amplify the missions of the nonprofits with whom we partner by creating tangible, marketable products that diversify and innovate their outreach and fundraising.

-An Open Book Foundation will be at C1. They've got an A+ mission statement, as well:

Our mission is to promote literacy among disadvantaged children and teens
in the greater Washington, D.C. area by giving books to students and schools
and providing access to authors and illustrators.

#SundayFunday: #DCAuthorFestival on Nov. 5

On November 5th, I'm going to be at the DC Author Festival at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. I'll be hanging out from 10 AM to 5 PM with over 60 other DC writers.

This is going to be my first author festival appearance and I'm really, really excited to hang out in a gigantic library, surrounded by readers and writers! Please come by and say hello.

The MLK Library is a few minutes away from the Verizon Center, located super-close to the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop.

I'll have signed copies of Tiger Trouble and Robot Rumble with me, along with some fun ninja-related giveaways.

Here's the link to the official site.

In other news, I'm still celebrating the fact that last week Tiger Trouble! hit #1 on the Kindle Free Download charts. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who recommended the book to their friends, neighbors, and family. It means the world to me.
