From now until December 14th, at 11:59 PM, 100% of the profits from Agent Darcy and Ninja Steve novels will be donated to WorldBuilders, a charity started by Patrick Rothfuss, the author of The Name of the Wind, and all-around phenomenal human being.
A few years ago, Pat started a charity called WorldBuilders. His goal: to unite book lovers, gamers, geeks, philanthropists, and cool people in a quest to help fund Heifer International.
Over time, World Builders has become a huge force for good and many, many, many authors and game designers and geeks have pitched in to help this cause. WorldBuilders is supported by Neil Gaiman, Hank Green, Paul and Storm, Jim Butcher, Holly Black, Nika Harper, Brandon Sanderson, and so many others. (You can read more about the specifics here.)
I am an incredibly lucky human being. I was born in a country where medicine is plentiful, food is affordable, and clean water is a given. Sadly, that is not the reality that everyone gets to inhabit.
So let's do some good, people. You don't have to buy a copy of my book to help, though. There are plenty of other options available on the WorldBuilders site and more and more options are added each day.
